Coming off a 24-14 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 4, the Denver Broncos are now considered 3.5-point betting favorites going into their Week 5 showdown with the Los Angeles Chargers, according to odds from BetMGM. The over/under for total points scored between the two teams has been set at 43.0.
The Chargers are coming off a 30-23 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. L.A. dropped to 0-4 with that loss, and they will be desperate to get their first win of the season when they host the Broncos in Week 5.
The Broncos lost to the Chargers 23-20 on the road last season and later beat them 19-3 at home. L.A. did not play regular starters in that second game because it had little impact on their playoff seeding.
Going into Sunday's showdown
at SoFi Stadium, Denver leads the all-time series against the Chargers 74-58-1, but L.A. had won three straight games against the Broncos before resting their starters in Week 18 last season. This week's game will be regionally televised on CBS.
