The Denver Broncos are set to face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football in Week 3, and they will host alumni from the beginning of the team to the modern era for an extended alumni weekend.
According to the Broncos, 130 former players came to the new Broncos Park Powered by CommonSpirit, taking in practice and and touring the new facility, which opened in July. Former players were given the opportunity to walk through and bid farewell to the old facility before it officially closed in mid-June.
The Broncos have made it a priority to honor previous players and coaches who come back, and are a part of the team's rich history.
"I think there's a lot of teams that don't come close to what the commitment that (Broncos owners) Carrie and Greg
(Penner) have made to us as alumni, and that they want us to be involved," former Broncos kicker Rich Karlis said in a video posted on the team's official Twitter/X page.
Coach Sean Payton also appreciates the contributions made by those who came before him.
"I think a bunch of them are going to see this facility and then there’ll be the classic grumping and moaning about the old facility, but it’s great to have him back always,” Payton said of the alumni players in town. “I said this before, it’s the lifeblood of your program. We celebrate and those chapters that were written already, I think it’s good for our players to be around them.”

You can view more pictures from the alumni visit on the Broncos' team website. Former Broncos safety Justin Simmons, who retired as a Bronco earlier this season, will help plant the flag for the Broncos ahead of kickoff this evening.

The Broncos are set to host the Rams at 6:20 p.m. MT on Sunday Night Football.
