Pundits and analysts are having a hard time supporting Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix. Admittedly, and if one focuses solely on the statistics, Nix has not performed well, throwing for less than 150 yards three times already in the first six games, including a season-low 107 yards during Thursday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 6.
However, quarterback guru Tim Jenkins thinks Nix may be on the uptick heading into the Broncos' Week 7 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. In a tweet posted the Friday after Denver's win, Jenkins launched a defense of Nix, believing there are better times ahead for the third-year quarterback.
It's okay to admit that, as a fan or analyst, your true frustration with Bo Nix stems from the games
leading up to TNF. Now, what is going to happen is people are going to reach and find clips like those I just sarcastically posted as reasons to support their hot takes from…

After TNF analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick excoriated Nix after the game, Jenkins said that he missed the bigger picture. In a breakdown of Nix's TNF performance, Jenkins saw areas of improvement and areas of growth already from Nix, and that there is every reason to believe in the Broncos' offense.
Jenkins ended his analysis with Nix's run in overtime, which ended without gaining any yards.
"I mean, the new standard for quarterbacks is that they make linebackers miss one-on-one in space," Jenkins said. "That's the new competitive standard for quarterbacks in the National Football League is that they make linebackers miss one-on-one in the run game... Do I think that that's a realistic criticism of a quarterback in the National Football League that he didn't make a linebacker miss one-on-one? No. I think that's probably potentially the dumbest thing that I've heard. And I have five kids nine and under. I hear dumb stuff all day long.
"Do I in any way, shape, or form think this Broncos offense is good enough? No. There is so much to get better. With that being said, they are 4-2 in a gauntlet of a schedule with their offense playing drastically below the standard. If anything, that's a reason to be optimistic. So, I think we all got to just take a breath and go, 'Boys, what are we doing?' Because this is a positive, not a negative."
Nix has pulled himself out of spots like this before, and there's every reason to believe he can do it again. His next chance to do so will be against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
