The Denver Broncos bounced back in a big way against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2, recovering after a dismal effort against the Kansas City Chiefs in the season opener.
After ripping the Broncos for their "pathetic" Week 1 effort, NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger was much more complimentary of the team in their comeback win. "Baldy," as he is affectionately known, spent a few minutes lauding Denver for their various playmakers throughout the contest.
The first player Baldinger commented on was Broncos wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. The receier had a game-high 138 yards receiving on just eight catches in his first breakout performance in orange and blue. Baldinger went on to show several of Waddle's contributions, including one on a 49-yard
strike from Nix, and eventually his final third-down conversion catch in the fourth quarter.
"Denver decided that if they're going to win a game and score some points, they better get Jaylen Waddle involved," Baldinger said. "At least they said 'Jaylen, we're going to get you involved.' And oh, did it start heating up soon."

The next player Baldy showed was running back Jonah Coleman. The rookie running back had 13 touches for 58 yards and a score in his first extended NFL action.
"To break the 13-13 tie, the Broncos went with the rookie fourth-round pick out of Washington, Jonah Coleman," Baldy said. "And they run power football right behind Ben Powers. Jonah Coleman was the only running back to touch the ball in the fourth quarter for the Broncos. That's all they needed."

Finally, Baldy broke down arguably the turning point in the win: the interception from cornerback Riley Moss in the third quarter. After the turnover created by Moss, the Broncos scored 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to clinch their first win of the 2026 season.
"I thought the second half of this game, the Broncos secondary really showed up," Baldinger said. "Here's Riley Moss, 3rd-and-6; they're going to their No. 1 receiver, Parker Washington. Excellent job right here, Riley, of reading the route, not getting handsy right here, and coming up with the interception. Quick eyes, quicker hands, all right?"

After the Week 2 victory, the Broncos are hoping to compile more positive plays for Baldy in their primetime showdown with the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football in Week 3.
