After making 38 roster moves over the weekend, the Denver Broncos studied the lists of players cut by other teams before making waiver wire decisions.
The NFL's transaction wire revealed on Monday that Denver was not awarded any players from other clubs. After reaching the AFC Championship game last season, the Broncos were 30th in the NFL's waiver wire order, so they were considered a long shot to be awarded any players.
Denver did lose two players to other clubs: tight end Justin Joly (a fifth-round draft pick) and cornerback Reese Taylor were both claimed off the waiver wire by the Miami Dolphins.
Now that waiver claims have been processed and players have been awarded, NFL teams can begin building 16- or 17-player practice squads (17 if they
