As the Denver Broncos finish their preparations to play the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football, we take a look at the series history between the two teams.
In recent years, the series has not been kind to the Broncos, who have lost nine of the last 12 games, including one game Denver and its fans would rather forget in Super Bowl XLVIII. Denver leads the all-time series 35-23-0, per Pro Football Database
.The most recent meeting between the two teams was an important one for Broncos quarterback Bo Nix: it was his first NFL start, in Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season. Although Nix and Co. were aided by two safeties from the Denver defense, Nix finished with a stat line of 26-of-42 passing for 138 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions
in a 26-20 loss at Lumen Field in Seattle.
In Week 6, both teams come in with identical 3-2 records; Denver comes into this game a little worse for wear, without key players like cornerback Pat Surtain, safety Talanoa Hufanga and wide receiver Pat Bryant, while Seattle is still without running back Zach Charbonnet.
This game is also a special one on the field, as both teams will be wearing their beautiful throwback uniforms. Let's hope the Broncos can change their recent streak of bad luck with a win in Denver on a very chilly Thursday night.
