It sounds like the Los Angeles Rams will likely be missing a key player when they face the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football in Week 3.
Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua (hip) is “not making great progress" in his recovery, L.A. coach Sean McVay said during an interview with ESPN Los Angeles (via Rams Wire). After sitting out Monday Night Football
in Week 2, Nacua did not participate in L.A.'s light practice on Wednesday.Following that comment from McVay, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said he "would be surprised" if Nacua suits up for SNF against the Broncos. So it certainly sounds like Nacua is trending toward not playing in Week 3.
Meanwhile, in Denver, running backs J.K. Dobbins (hip) and RJ Harvey (hamstring) were limited on Wednesday, while rookie
Jonah Coleman (ankle) was held out.
"I think we’re good at that position. ... I think we’re going to be alright," Broncos coach Sean Payton said on Wednesday when asked about the running back room.
Denver and L.A. will practice again on Thursday and Friday before releasing final injury reports with game statuses for Week 3.
