Despite winning the AFC West and claiming the conference's No. 1 playoff seed with a 14-3 record last season, the Denver Broncos are not considered favorites against a division rival in Week 1.
The Kansas City Chiefs are listed as 2.5-point home favorites going into their Monday Night Football showdown with the Broncos, according to odds from BetMGM. The over/under for total points scored between the two teams has been set at 43.0. The game will be nationally simulcast on ESPN and ABC, both of which are available to stream on FuboTV.
Last year, Denver swept Kansas City, winning 22-19 at home and 20-13 on the road. However, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (knee) did not play in that second contest.
Mahomes seems to be on track to face the Broncos
on Sept. 14, and Denver quarterback Bo Nix (ankle) has recovered from the injury he suffered in the divisional round of last season's NFL playoffs. With both QBs healthy, that MNF showdown is shaping up to be a must-watch game.
