The Denver Broncos have "no immediate plans" to sign a running back after three free agents had tryouts with the team on Tuesday, according to the Denver Gazette's Chris Tomasson.
The Broncos hosted Jaden Nixon, Sam Scott and Marcus Yarns at their facility today, but none of them were signed. Denver will keep them in mind for the future, but none of those three will be added this week.
Broncos running backs J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey are both dealing with hamstring injuries, but there's optimism that one or both could return in Week 3. Denver currently has healthy rookie Jonah Coleman and Tyler Badie on the active roster, plus Cody Schrader providing additional depth on the practice squad.
The Broncos will hold their first practice of the week
on Wednesday, and we'll get a better idea of where Dobbins and Harvey stand going into Week 3 after the club's first injury report is released following practice.
