The Denver Broncos have added a new player to the roster with two preseason games left before the regular season kicks off.
After bringing former second-round pick Taylor Rapp in for a look last week, the Broncos officially signed him on Thursday, adding veteran depth to the safety position. Rapp was a free agent after spending the past three seasons with the Buffalo Bills.
Rapp could enter the season as the primary backup safety behind starters Talanoa Hufanga and Brandon Jones. Here, we'll get Broncos fans a little bit more familiar with the team's newest addition.

1. College career
Rapp put together a solid college career at the University of Washington. He was a starter as a freshman and won the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year Award in 2016. He was named to the first-team
All-Pac-12 team in 2017 and 2018. This put Rapp on the map as a legitimate NFL prospect.
He decided to forego his senior season and entered the draft following his junior year.
2. Drafted by the Los Angeles Rams
Following his stellar stay at Washington, Rapp was selected with the 61st overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft by the Rams. He played out his rookie contract in Los Angeles before leaving in free agency following the 2022 season.

3. He has a Super Bowl ring
Rapp won a Super Bowl as part of the Rams' 2021 championship team, which included Broncos legend Von Miller. Not only was he on the team, but he was one of the team's starting safeties and he finished that game against the Cincinnati Bengals with seven tackles, tied for second-most on the team.
4. He has 12 career interceptions
Rapp has great ball skills, which have led to him registering 12 career interceptions. He has had at least one interception in every year of his career except last season, which was cut short by an injury after six games.
5. Knee surgery
Rapp's time in Buffalo ended last October when a knee injury shut him down for the rest of the season. That led to surgery, and the Bills released him in March.
The Broncos have obviously given him a clean bill of health with his signing. Rapp has been a durable player throughout his playing career, but he is 28 years old now, so this will be something to keep an eye on.
