After a spirited exchange with reporters last week, Denver Broncos running back J.K. Dobbins rushed seven times for 13 yards in a 28-24 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 8.
While Dobbins was inefficient, rookie running back Jonah Coleman rushed 11 times for 41 yards and a touchdown while adding four receptions for 63 yards. Coleman is clearly the team's best running back at the moment, but the team's "unofficial" depth chart still has Dobbins listed as the starter.
Broncos coach Sean Payton was asked about the situation after Wednesday's practice, and he insisted that there's no controversy in Denver's backfield.
"Listen, here's a huge part of what we're doing. ... He's been fantastic ... that's not a hot-button topic with us here. Might
be with you guys, but not with us. We're good. We're good with the rotation. ... He's doing a great job."

Up next for the Broncos is a road game against the Carolina Panthers, who allow the third-most rushing yards per game in the NFL (140.7) and the fifth-most yards per carry (4.8). So regardless of whether it's Dobbins or Coleman leading the way, Denver's running backs are poised for a good showing on Sunday.
