The Denver Broncos are calling up two reinforcements from the practice squad ahead of Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Denver elevated cornerbacks Brent Austin and Sean Fresch from the practice squad to the game-day roster for Week 5. Both players will revert back to the practice squad on Monday.
Additionally, the team promoted wide receiver Lil'Jordan Humphrey from the practice squad to the 53-man roster after placing receiver Pat Bryant (ankle) on injured reserve on Friday.
Austin will give the team more depth at cornerback after the club lost Pat Surtain (ankle) and Riley Moss (ribs) to injuries last week. Humphrey adds depth at receiver with Pat Bryant (ankle) sidelined.
NFL clubs can elevate up to two players from the practice
squad to the game-day roster each week, and those players do not have to clear waivers to return to the practice squad after the game. However, there is a limit of three elevations per player each season.
