It was a rough week for Denver Broncos inside linebacker Alex Singleton.
Singleton led the team's defense with 16 tackles in Week 1, but he also led the club with five missed tackles in an ugly 31-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Singleton's frustration seemingly boiled over when he was penalized for unnecessary roughness in the fourth quarter.
After being stiff-armed to the ground by Chiefs running back Emmett Johnson, Singleton got up and continued pursuing the rookie, and the linebacker was penalized for a late hit at the end of Johnson's run. Now, the NFL has handed down a $11,492 fine, according to multiple reports.

Fans and pundits were very critical of Singleton's performance on social media, so much so that his agent responded on Twitter/X:
"The level of sheer ignorance of Broncos bloggers and self proclaimed 'journalists' continues to amaze and has never been higher," agent Paul Sheehy tweeted earlier this week. "I get it, rage baiting a passionate fan base gets clicks, but it doesn't take away from the ignorance or incompetence on display."
Singleton, 32, will aim to bounce back when the Broncos host the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2.
