Looking at the way the schedule started for the Denver Broncos this season, the team likely would have taken a 2-2 start after the first four games. That's exactly where they are.
However, it has been a frustrating start to the season for Bo Nix and that frustration was evident within Broncos Country following the team's recent loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Through four games, Nix has completed just 60 percent of his passes for 819 yards with five touchdowns and three interceptions. His 6.1-yard average per completion ranks 27th in the league, and one of the biggest criticisms of his current play is that he doesn't throw the ball downfield enough, negating the big trade for Jaylen Waddle.
In speaking with the media this week, Nix acknowledged
some of his frustrations.

On Sunday, following the loss to San Francisco, coach Sean Payton was asked about how Nix played in the game and where he's at right now.
“Fair question. I'm sure he’s frustrated,” Payton said after Sunday’s game. “After the first half, then getting into a one-dimensional game, I'm sure he’s frustrated.”
Bo Nix was later asked, "What's the level of frustration overall, I guess, as a group, just in terms of where you're at offensively, or do you have frustration at this point?"
“I think the frustrations just come within the losses,” Nix said after the game. “Obviously, we want to have a really explosive offense and that'll come, but we've played really good teams. We've played four really good challenges so far, and we're sitting here at 2-2. I definitely don't think we hit the panic button, but at the same time we just have to continue to grind and find ways to get better.”
The team will look to make quick improvements on offense this Sunday when they face the Los Angeles Chargers, as Payton has taken back the play-calling duties from offensive coordinator Davis Webb. Will that be what Nix needs to get out of this early-season funk? We'll soon find out.
