In the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Denver Broncos linebacker Alex Singleton was penalized for unnecessary roughness after tackling tight end Brenton Strange following a three-yard catch.
Singleton arrived after the ball with his head facing forward, but after making face-to-face contact with Strange's helmet, the linebacker was flagged. That gave Jacksonville a fresh set of downs from the three-yard line, but the Jaguars still ended up settling for a field goal.
After an eventual 20-13 comeback win for the Broncos, Singleton was asked about the penalty.
"Yeah, their coaches like to complain about people hitting people," Singleton said. "So, I got a fine last year for it, I'll probably get this one rescinded,
too. But, you know, they like to complain, as you've watched today."

Singleton was apparently fined following last year's game against Jacksonville, but it was rescinded. He was also fined for unnecessary roughness against the Kansas City Chiefs in Denver's season opener last week.
Singleton led the Broncos' defense with nine tackles on Sunday, bringing his two-game total to 25.
