There's mixed news on the injury front as the Denver Broncos continue preparing for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals.
First, the good news following the portion of Thursday's practice open to media members: cornerback Pat Surtain (ankle), wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (chest), running back Jonah Coleman (ankle) and cornerback Riley Moss (ribs) continue to practice. Surtain might be more likely to make his game-day return in Week 8, but getting practice reps is a step in the right direction.
Now, the bad news: safety Talanoa Hufanga (ankle), outside linebacker Jonah Elliss (ankle) and running back Tyler Badie (thumb) remain sidelined. Hufanga is expected to miss at least one more game, and coach Sean Payton seemingly hinted after Wednesday's
practice that Elliss could land on short-term injured reserve later this week.
#Broncos attendance was the same today as yesterday.

Jahdae Barron has been starting in place of PS2, and Taylor Rapp did a nice job helping replace Hufanga last week. Meanwhile, Coleman and outside linebacker Jonathon Cooper (reinstated) are both candidates to return to the 53-man roster later this week.
Denver's scheduled to practice again on Friday before releasing a final injury report with game statuses for Sunday's showdown with the Cardinals.
