Two former Denver Broncos coaches have been nominated for the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2027.
Mike Shanahan, who won a pair of Super Bowls with the Broncos, and Dan Reeves, who reached four Super Bowls as a head coach, are among five coach nominees who have advanced in the voting process. Shanahan and Reeves are joined by Bill Belichick, Tom Coughlin and Mike Holmgren.
An original list of 14 coaches was narrowed down to these five contenders, and the subcommittee will meet virtually on Nov. 17 to select one coach candidate for the 2027 Hall of Fame class. Belichick is widely considered the favorite to be selected among this year's group of coaches.

Shanahan is long overdue for enshrinement in Canton, and it seems certain that he will eventually get in. He probably has to wait in line behind Belichick, though, and the late Reeves will remain a candidate for future consideration.
