Denver Broncos defensive lineman Zach Allen (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Allen went down in the fourth quarter of last Sunday's 30-16 win over the Arizona Cardinals and appeared to be favoring his right hamstring. He was able to walk off the field into the team's blue medical tent, but did not return to the game. Allen finished the game standing on the sideline without his helmet as Denver closed out a win.
After the game, Allen was asked about the injury and said, "Yeah, I'll be fine. Yeah, I'll be good." He was listed as questionable for today's game on Friday's injury report. Allen (and all of the players listed as questionable) are active and set to play against the Chiefs today.
Allen has been one
of the best interior defensive linemen in the NFL this season, totaling 24 tackles, 19 quarterback hits, 4.5 sacks, two pass breakups and one forced fumble through seven games. He's well on his way toward earning another first-team All-Pro nod after securing the first such honor of his career last season.
The Broncos' defensive line rotation this season has been led by Allen (343 snaps), Malcolm Roach (283), Eyioma Uwazurike (272) and D.J. Jones (220).
