The Indianapolis Colts have agreed to trade star guard Quenton Nelson, but not to the Denver Broncos.
The Seattle Seahawks
are sending a 2027 third-round draft pick and a 2028 fifth-round selection to the Colts in exchange for Nelson, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The eight-time Pro Bowler and six-time All-Pro will now join the defending Super Bowl champions, departing a 2-5 Colts squad that seems to be entering rebuild mode. There had been some speculation that the Broncos might be interested in Nelson as a replacement for Ben Powers, who ranks 55th among NFL guards graded by Pro Football Focus this season. Instead, Denver seems content to continue starting Powers with Alex Palczewski and Kage Casey providing depth behind him.
Other Indy
players who might be on the trade block include defensive lineman DeForest Buckner and running back Jonathan Taylor. The Broncos have been linked to Taylor (and the running back's wife liked a comment about Denver on social media), but it's hard to imagine Denver trading draft capital in exchange for Taylor's expensive contract. The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 10.
