Denver Broncos coach Sean Payton was unwilling to provide much of an update on a trio of injured players during his Monday conference call with reporters.
"We'll have a report Wednesday," Payton said when asked about the statuses of cornerback Pat Surtain (ankle), wide receiver Pat Bryant (ankle) and cornerback Riley Moss (ribs), according to the Denver Gazette's Chris Tomasson.
The Broncos are scheduled to hold their first practice of the week on Wednesday, and they will release an injury report after that practice.
The Ringer's Tom Pelissero reported on Sunday evening that Surtain's Achilles is intact, which is a good early sign.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Monday morning that Bryant is expected to miss "a few weeks" with a sprained ankle.
NFL
Network's Ian Rapoport reported Monday that Moss' injury "does not seem to be" a broken rib. Rapoport said Moss would undergo more testing today to determine the severity of it.
It sounds like we're not getting any more info from the team, at least at the moment. So far, though, Denver seems to have avoided worst-case scenarios for all three players.
