The Denver Broncos are still trying to sort themselves out, nearly five weeks into the season. It's not a great place to be by any stretch of the imagination. Offensively, the Broncos just cannot seem to get anything going, either through the air or on the ground. One of the main reasons for excitement in the offseason, wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, has shown flashes of brilliance (his eight-catch performance in Week 2), and already his share of dismal ones (one catch for 2 yards in Week 1).
It seems baffling that Waddle isn't getting more touches for a player with such clout coming into this season. Drops may be contributing to that, but it seems like it's more than that. When the Broncos' offense is consistently clicking (and it's been far and few
through the first couple of weeks), one can see the fingerprints of Waddle on the success.
However, the lack of early success is frustrating to players. Waddle spoke about Denver's need to start fast after the Week 4 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
"Looking back at the game, especially a game like this, we were in prime position to get points," Waddle said. "They called the play, and I didn’t execute. If we want to start fast, you’ve got to make those plays on a consistent basis. That’s what it comes down to.”
When Waddle has had the ball in his hands, he has shown his ability to change the way the Broncos play, on jet sweeps, deep passes and catch-and-run opportunities over the middle. Waddle just caught his first touchdown in a Denver uniform in Week 4.
Former Broncos quarterback Ben DiNucci sees the correlation between Waddle and Denver's success as well.
The Broncos have to get Jaylen Waddle more touches.

Just have to.
Minus Jax game he has 7 catches 47 yards in 3 games…
Just going for a run every Sunday basically
The Broncos need to get the ball to Waddle in order to even seem serious on the field. Waddle helped create mismatches across the field when he went off in Week 2. He has to be able to do that more often if the Broncos are going to continue to be looked at as a serious contender in the coming weeks and months.
