Former Denver Broncos running back Deuce Vaughn has signed with the Houston Texans' practice squad. Vaughn (5-6, 173 pounds) joined Denver's practice squad in 2025, and he signed a reserve/future deal with the club after the season, but he was cut this May after the Broncos signed a pair of tryout players.
Darren Sproles, who was expected to join Denver's coaching staff as an intern this offseason, had said he was eager to see Vaughn get an opportunity with the Broncos. That opportunity never arrived for Vaughn (and it seems that Sproles never officially joined Denver's staff this summer).
Elsewhere on the ex-Bronco front, linebacker Kristian Welch was promoted from the Green Bay Packers' practice squad to their 53-man roster; defensive back A.J.
Woods signed with the Buffalo Bills' practice squad; the Baltimore Ravens promoted tight end Nick Vannett from the practice squad to their active roster; outside linebacker Dasan McCullough tried out for the Carolina Panthers; and the Cleveland Browns cut offensive lineman Xavier Truss from their practice squad.
