Four games into the 2026 NFL season, the Denver Broncos (2-2) are just outside the NFL's playoff picture.
If the season ended today, the Broncos would miss the playoffs as the AFC's eighth seed, losing a conference-record tiebreaker to the New England Patriots (2-2). The Pats are currently the seventh seed above four other 2-2 clubs, including Denver.
In the AFC West, the Kansas City Chiefs (4-0) are leading the way with the Las Vegas Raiders (3-1) not far behind them. The Broncos are up next, and the Los Angeles Chargers (0-4) are last in the division. Denver's set to go on the road to face the Chargers in Los Angeles in Week 5.
NFL playoff picture (AFC)
- Kansas City Chiefs: 4-0
- Jacksonville Jaguars: 3-1
- Buffalo Bills: 3-1
- Cleveland Browns: 3-1
- Baltimore Ravens: 3-1
- Las Vegas Raiders: 3-1
- New England Patriots: 2-2
The matchup is still months away, but the Broncos are scheduled to face the Patriots in Week 17, and that conference
showdown could have big implications in the AFC's playoff race. For now, Denver's focused on this week's game against the Chargers.
