It seems to be a trend on the comeback for Denver Broncos players. After his first career touchdown in the fourth quarter of Sunday's Week 2 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, Broncos rookie running back Jonah Coleman became the latest player to hit the iconic "Mile High Salute" celebration in the end zone.
The celebration began with Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis in the 1990s, and instantly became one of the go-to celebrations from there on in for both fans and players. After the game, Coleman gave recognition to Davis.
“You just have to pay respect to the guys that came before you," Coleman said. "Terrell, him and I have the same marketing rep, so we talked before, talked a couple of times. He’s one of the best to ever to do it. I just felt
like I could pay my dues and pay my respects because, at the end of the day, you are playing for something bigger than yourself."

Coleman saw his first extended action in the absence of RJ Harvey and the late-game injury to J.K. Dobbins, rushing for 39 yards and catching three passes for 19 yards. Coleman also had a game-sealing 12-yard run, staying in bounds and icing the win for the Broncos.

Coleman obviously appreciates Broncos history, even as he becomes a part of it. Hopefully, Coleman has many more salutes to come in the future!
