The Los Angeles Rams might be missing a key player when they face the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football in Week 3.
After sitting out Monday's game with a groin injury, star wide receiver Puka Nacua has an uncertain status for next week's game in Denver.
"I’m not sure what his status is as far as this next coming week," Rams coach Sean McVay said Tuesday, via Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times. "I'm hopeful that he'll play…. If he’s ready to go, great. If not, then we’ll continue to roll."
With Nacua sidelined, Davante Adams led L.A.'s offense with eight receptions for 195 yards and two touchdowns in the Rams' 28-6 win over the New York Giants on Monday. Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain will likely be matched up against Adams on SNF. If Nacua is
able to play, one of Riley Moss or Ja'Quan McMillian would be his most likely matchup.
Nacua hauled in five receptions for 74 yards in L.A.'s season opener. He totaled 129 receptions for 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns with the Rams last season.
L.A. won't have star defensive lineman Myles Garrett against the Broncos after he underwent knee surgery and landed on injured reserve. The Rams will have Aaron Donald, who made his 2026 debut on Monday after coming out of retirement. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year totaled three tackles on 33 snaps in Week 2.
