The Denver Broncos brought in a pair of pass rushers for tryouts on Tuesday.
Denver hosted Ron Stone Jr. and Tony Anyanwu, according to the NFL's transaction wire. Stone, the son of a two-time Super Bowl champion, won the tryout and was signed to the 91-man offseason roster.
Anyanwu (6-2, 249 pounds) started his college career at Baylor before transferring to Stephen F. Austin and later landing at Rice ahead of the 2025 season. He led the American Conference with 47 pressures, 32 hurries and eight quarterback hits last fall. Anyanwu also recorded 6.5 sacks with the Owls.
Stone (6-3, 257 pounds) spent the last two seasons in the United Football League. He recorded four sacks with the Michigan Panthers in 2025 and 5.5 sacks with the Columbus Aviators
this spring. Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph said after Tuesday's practice that Stone will get a lot of playing time in Friday's preseason finale.

Stone practiced on Tuesday and he'll get a second practice on Wednesday before making his on-field debut in Denver's preseason finale against the Minnesota Vikings on Friday.
