Former Denver Broncos wide receiver Arthur Marshall has died after battling stomach cancer, according to Georgia's WFXG. Marshall was 57 years old.
Marshall was born and raised in Hephzibah, Georgia. After playing college football with the Georgia Bulldogs, Marshall signed with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent following the 1992 NFL draft. He spent the first two years of his NFL career in Denver as a receiver and returner.
Marshall hauled in 54 receptions for 853 yards and three touchdowns in two seasons (32 games) with the Broncos. He also threw two touchdown passes and returned 33 punts for 349 yards and eight kickoffs for 132 yards during his time in Denver.
The Broncos traded Marshall to the New York Giants during the 1994 offseason,
and he played three seasons in New York. Marshall totaled 2,303 all-purpose yards and scored six touchdowns during his five-year career in the NFL.
