Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix is so ready for football to start.
How ready?
"Like a mountain lion that's in the zoo, that's just like, pacing," wide receiver Courtland Sutton said on Wednesday. "I like saw a mountain lion at the Colorado zoo; he was just pacing back and forth, and I was like, 'Y'all don't want that boy to get out, it's not going to be good.' But that's what Bo reminded me of. Like mentally, you could tell that he's just like, 'I'm ready to go do this.'"
Yup, Sutton compared his quarterback to a caged lion:

Nix hasn't seen meaningful action since he broke his
ankle during the divisional round playoff win against the Buffalo Bills in January. He did get a few reps in against the Green Bay Packers in the preseason, scoring 10 points on two drives.
“I think out here there are different animals that you can encounter [in Colorado]," Nix said when told about Sutton's comparison. "I hear a lot of the times, it’s mountain lions and bears that you don’t want to come across. I guess that is a good comparison and one that I will take. I definitely think the thing about mountain lions is usually that when you notice them, it’s because they noticed you a long time ago. I’m just excited to get out there. I feel like I’m pacing and feel like I’ve been in this practice schedule for a long time. It’s exciting to go out there and play another team."

The Broncos are going into their Week 1 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs having won four of the past five games against their division rival. With that in mind, Nix believes in the group alongside him to get the job done.
"It’s really exciting, and I know that our guys are going to respond well," Nix said. "I feel like I have a great group with me that I’m going in here with. I can’t wait.”
Nix and Co. will start the season on the road on Monday night. It's time for them to unleash the beast.
