The Denver Broncos had to make some tough decisions this weekend as they trimmed the roster from 91 players down to an initial 53-man squad.
Now the Broncos will wait to see who clears waivers, and some recently cut players could be brought back on the practice squad if they are not picked up by other teams. It should be noted that only players with fewer than four credited seasons are subject to the waiver wire. Players with four or more accrued seasons are considered vested veterans, and they simply become free agents.
So veterans like fullback Adam Prentice won't hit the waiver wire (and he's expected to return on the practice squad). All of the team's rookies, first-year, second-year and third-year players are subject to the waiver wire. Here's
a quick list of nine players who could be at risk of getting claimed by other clubs.

After waiver claims are processed on Monday, Denver will build a 17-player practice squad (the Broncos get an exception to the 16-player limit because they plan to carry an international player). We will continue to track all of Denver's roster moves on Broncos Wire.
