After wrapping up preseason on Friday night, the Denver Broncos will now trim the roster from 91 players down to a 53-man squad for the 2026 season. That means at least 38 moves are on deck this weekend.
Following roster cuts on Sunday, teams will place waiver claims. Once claims have been processed on Monday, clubs can begin building 16- or 17-player practice squads (teams can carry a 17th player if it's an international player).
Most of the players on the practice squad will have two or fewer accrued seasons in the NFL, but clubs are allowed to have six veteran players as well. With that in mind, here's a quick list of potential practice squad candidates for Denver. There's obviously not room for all of them on the practice squad, but some players could
land elsewhere or land on the active roster.
