Coming off a 24-14 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, the Denver Broncos are now ranked fourth in Nate Davis' latest NFL power rankings for USA TODAY Sports. That's actually up one spot from their No. 5 ranking last week.
Here is Davis' commentary on the Broncos going into Week 5:
It hasn't been pretty through four weeks, especially offensively. But their only losses are to the undefeated Chiefs and Niners, and the schedule eases a bit for the rest of October. Even better, All-Pro CB Patrick Surtain II (ankle) isn't expected to miss much time.
Elsewhere in the AFC West, the Kansas City Chiefs are ranked No. 2, the Las Vegas Raiders are ranked No. 11 and the Los Angeles Chargers are ranked No. 29. Denver's set to travel to SoFi Stadium this
weekend for a divisional showdown with the Chargers, and L.A. will be desperately seeking its first win of the season.
Overall, the 49ers are ranked No. 1 and the Miami Dolphins are ranked No. 32 (last). To view the complete NFL power rankings following Week 4, visit USATODAY.com.
