In the aftermath of Josh Wallace's controversial pass interference penalty on Sunday Night Football in Week 3, Denver Broncos wide receiver Pat Bryant has admitted he ever so slightly embellished the contact to help draw a flag.
"It was a little pass interference — I did sell it just enough, you know what I'm saying, to get the flag," Bryant said during an interview with Romi Bean of CBS Colorado. "He definitely gave me a little nudge that I felt, and I felt like I couldn't get the ball, so it was either the ball or the call, and we ended up getting the call."
While he admitted to selling it to help draw a penalty, Bryant said Wallace "definitely" gave him a shove.

That penalty helped
the Broncos go on to take a 30-26 lead, and the Los Angeles Rams had an opportunity to score on the final play of the game, but Matthew Stafford threw a game-losing interception. So while it was a factor, that DPI foul was not the sole play responsible for L.A.'s loss.
It was a controversial flag, and Bryant's remarks could cause even more controversy, but both teams are now moving on to a long season ahead. The Broncos and Rams can sort things out when they meet again (perhaps in the Super Bowl).
