As fantasy football managers prepare for the 2026 NFL season and look at the Denver Broncos' depth chart, many football fans will be left asking, "Should I draft J.K. Dobbins or RJ Harvey in fantasy football?"
Dobbins (5-10, 212 pounds) has an average draft position (ADP) of 81 overall, which is good for RB32. Harvey (5-8, 205 pounds), on the other hand, is going off the board with an ADP of 62nd overall, which happens to be RB31.
So, which one should you target?
If you're choosing between those two, Dobbins is clearly the better value given that he's going off the board 19 selections later. Yes, he has a history of injuries, but Dobbins is set to begin the season as Denver's primary running back, and he ranked among the NFL's leading rushers ten
games into the 2025 campaign before a foot injury.
Harvey offers some value in point-per-reception (PPR) leagues due to his receiving ability, but he struggled in a primary running back role when Dobbins went down last season. It's hard to justify drafting Harvey so much earlier than Dobbins when there doesn't seem to be a clear path to RB1 duties for him.
Meanwhile, rookie running back Jonah Coleman has an ADP of 126th overall (RB48). The best strategy for Denver's backfield might be to draft Dobbins and then add Coleman later in the draft as a handcuff. If Dobbins is ever unavailable this season, Coleman might actually be the favorite for early downs with Harvey continuing to serve as the team's primary receiving option out of the backfield.
That's our take. Prefer Dobbins over Harvey, and Coleman could be a smart add in the later rounds.
