The Denver Broncos defeated the Los Angeles Chargers in a 23-17 comeback win on Sunday afternoon. Following that divisional win, here are Denver's best (and worst) player grades from Pro Football Focus.
Broncos best offensive players
- G Quinn Meinerz: 73.0
- TE Evan Engram: 67.4
- OT Garett Bolles: 66.9
- OT Mike McGlinchey: 63.2
- OT Alex Palczewski: 62.7
A strong day overall for Denver's offensive line, including extra lineman Alex Palczewski, who came in for eight snaps as a blocking tight end.
Broncos worst offensive players
- FB Adam Prentice: 43.0
- TE Nate Adkins: 46.8
- RB RJ Harvey: 50.3
- TE Adam Trautman: 50.3
- WR Marvin Mims: 54.4
RJ Harvey had a quiet day at the office, rushing three times for seven yards and drawing just one target as a receiver out of the backfield. J.K. Dobbins, meanwhile, got 20 touches.
Broncos best defensive players
- DL D.J. Jones: 86.5
- DB Brandon Jones: 80.8
- OLB Dondrea Tillman: 79.9
- CB Jahdae Barron: 79.3
- OLB Jonah Elliss: 74.1
Brandon Jones grabbed an interception and recovered a fumble. Jahdae Barron did a nice job filling in for the injured Pat Surtain, albeit
against a depleted L.A. wide receiver group.
Broncos worst defensive grades
- DB Devon Key: 53.5
- CB Kris Abrams-Draine: 55.8
- LB Alex Singleton: 56.1
- DL Zach Allen: 56.2
- OLB Que Robinson: 56.5
Feels like a harsh overall grade for Zach Allen, who recorded a sack and a forced fumble. PFF apparently wasn't impressed with his run defending, giving him a 44.7 grade in that category.
Broncos special teams grades
- ST JL Skinner: 77.4
- LS Mitchell Fraboni: 65.0
- KR Marvin Mims: 62.5
- P Jeremy Crawshaw: 65.9
- K Wil Lutz: 51.6 (FG) 60.0 (KO)
Marvin Mims had a 27-yard punt return in the fourth quarter that set up a 42-yard Wil Lutz field goal attempt, but the kicker missed it. Lutz did end the day with three successful field goals.
