The Denver Broncos love playing at home. In 2025, the Broncos went an amazing 8-1 within the confines of Empower Field at Mile High, propelling them to the playoffs and eventually to the AFC Championship. of Broncos Country to make it as loud as possible for opponents.Ahead of one of the most anticipated home contests since the AFC Championship, quarterback Bo Nix loves the environment of a primetime game in Denver.
"I think primetime games in general are awesome," Nix said on Wednesday. "Nighttime games at our stadium are awesome. We have a great, electric atmosphere. It’s always fun when you
grow up, you watch these primetime games. It’s usually when everybody’s watching, when all the TVs are on. You just know it’s a big deal, you know it’s a big game, you know two good teams are playing against each other. For us, we say it all the time, we know we’ll play in bigger games, but right now this is the next biggest one."
There is no underestimating the Broncos' Week 3 opponent, the Los Angeles Rams. With a superstar-laden roster that is likely to be a Super Bowl contender, no matter what their record is. However, despite the challenge, Nix knows the eyes of the football world will be on the Broncos because of their 2025 accomplishments, and seeing if they can replicate their success in 2026.
"This is the next challenge, and we’re excited to be on primetime," Nix said. "That’s always a really good thing. That means you have something good going, but you have to keep winning and keep staying on primetime or ultimately, it doesn’t really matter.”
All-Pro corner Pat Surtain mentioned the advantage of playing any opponent at home.
"Playing primetime at home is just a different type of vibe, a different type of scenery," Surtain said. "Having that home crowd to our advantage is pretty beneficial on our end, especially defensively. Having that crowd noise to affect the offense, I think it’s going to be pretty huge, so we’re looking forward to it. It’s going to be another fun and exciting battle at Empower. So we have a great challenge ahead of us, so we just have to prepare and make sure we stay sharp.”

The Broncos will need every bit of advantage they can take against the Rams. This game could very well be a preview of things to come for both teams, and a measuring stick for both clubs to see where they're at and where they could go.
