With the NFL's trade deadline now just over one week away, Denver Broncos coach Sean Payton has no interest in discussing the latest rumors surrounding the club.
During his Monday conference call, Payton was asked about the latest buzz.
"What's out there? You mean the internet gossip?" Payton asked KUSA-TV's Mike Klis, who brought up trade rumors. Klis then clarified that he was referencing reported interest in Jonathan Taylor as well as the running back position and skill positions in general.
"So you're asking me a question about gossip," Payton said. "George [Paton] and I will spend time on looking at the team, any way where we can improve it. But I'm not gonna answer questions about internet gossip."
Payton acknowledged that he and GM George
Paton will explore if any potential trades could help improve the team, but he had no interest in discussing specifics. The NFL's trade deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 10, and we'll have full coverage of the latest news and rumors on Broncos Wire.
