Bo Nix did it again on Sunday night. The third-year quarterback of the Denver Broncos is becoming well known for his late-game heroics, and against what many consider to be the best team in the NFL, the Los Angeles Rams, he completed a big comeback in Week 3.
Trailing 16-0 at halftime, Nix had done nothing to indicate he could help lead his team to a win in this one. But he led the Broncos to 30 second-half points and the defense did its part to hold off Matthew Stafford and company in the end.
For the game, Nix finished the contest 17-of-34 passing for 186 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. His QBR for the game was just 46.4. Those statistics put into focus what was an up-and-down performance, but these statistics show how clutch
the Broncos' quarterback has been in his young career.

Nix leads the NFL in game-winning drives (nine), fourth-quarter comebacks (seven) and touchdowns when trailing by one score (20) since 2025.
Nix has also put his name up there with Broncos legend John Elway, who is perhaps the name most commonly connected with the fourth-quarter comeback in the history of the league.
Nix's fourth-quarter comebacks (11, including the playoffs) through his first two seasons are the third-most in NFL history. He could tie Elway for the record with one more, according to ESPN.

The father of Broncos star cornerback Pat Surtain II, Patrick Surtain Sr., a former All-Pro cornerback himself, had a great reaction to Nix's latest successful comeback:

Surtain's words put it best. While many fans around the league and those in the media have been highly critical of Nix and discuss him as though he's much luckier than he is good, he does what all quarterbacks want to do most: he wins.
