If you were to poll a number of NFL fans and ask them to predict which two teams will play in Super Bowl LXI this February, one of the most common picks may very well be the Denver Broncos versus the Los Angeles Rams.
There are strong reasons for that pick. On paper, they look like the two best teams in the league. The Broncos, having nearly reached the Super Bowl last year, didn't lose much this offseason while also addressing the lack of an offensive playmaker by trading for Jaylen Waddle. In the case of the Rams, they also reached the conference championship game last year and traded for Myles Garrett this offseason before welcoming Aaron Donald back from retirement.
Former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and current NFL on CBS analyst Trent
Green recently appeared on The Rich Eisen Show and predicted that the Broncos and Rams will meet in February.
"On the AFC side, I think it's a lot more up in the air (than the NFC)," Green said to Eisen. "I think there are five or six teams that could potentially be in the Super Bowl. I think if you're making me pick one right now, as long as Bo Nix is healthy, I think that Denver is probably in the best position to get it done."

Should this actually take place, we would get a Super Bowl preview early in the season as the Broncos and Rams are set to face off in Week 3. That will be one of the more highly anticipated games of the season, and it will be on Sunday Night Football as a result.
It would mark the fourth time in NFL history in which the two teams that lost in their respective conference championship games one year each advanced to the Super Bowl the following year, joining the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys in 1994 and 1995, the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers in 2011 and 2012 and the Kansas City Chiefs and 49ers in 2022 and 2023.
In two of those three Super Bowls, the AFC team won the Lombardi Trophy.
