Coming off a 30-26 comeback win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football in Week 3, the Denver Broncos are now ranked No. 5 in Nate Davis' latest NFL power rankings for USA TODAY Sports. That's up three spots from their No. 8 ranking last week.
Here is Davis' commentary on the Broncos following the team's latest comeback victory:
They've been 10 points better on the scoreboard every week, meaning they're on pace to score 40 at San Francisco on Sunday. Maybe. Yet for all the scrutiny that's followed new OC Davis Webb, it's the defense that's really underachieved here so far. A team that averaged four sacks per game in 2025 is currently at 2.67.
Elsewhere in the AFC West, the Kansas City Chiefs are ranked No. 2, the Las Vegas Raiders are ranked No. 11
and the Los Angeles Chargers are ranked No. 29.
The San Francisco 49ers, who will host in Denver in Week 4, are ranked No. 4.
