Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix is excited to finally get in front of the home crowd against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon, after opening up the season on the road in Week 1.
"There’s nothing like a home-field advantage, nothing like playing at home," Nix said on Thursday after practice. "I know as an away team what it’s like to go and play in a loud environment. It’s definitely not easy. There are a lot of variables and things that go into it, a lot of communication tactics. It’s just not easy, and that’s what the crowd does. The crowd makes it not easy for them."
Nix and the Broncos enjoyed a tremendous home-field advantage in 2025, winning eight of nine games at home during the regular season. Their only home loss came at the hands
of these very Jaguars. It was also Denver's only loss by more than three points last fall.
Nix is looking for fans to create a postseason-like environment on Sunday.
"Hopefully we’ll have, like we always do, a sellout, hopefully we’ll have a loud environment, and I expect it to be a really fun time being the home opener," Nix said. "I expect it to be loud. Essentially what it is, it’s a playoff game. So I expect it to be that kind of environment sort of like we had at the end of the season last year.”
