One talked-about addition for the Denver Broncos ahead of the 2026 season has been that of wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. During his short time in Denver, Waddle has impressed at training camp, and his big-play ability was evident this summer in the Broncos' Week 2 preseason contest against the Green Bay Packers, where he took his only catch for a game-high 35 yards.
Former NFL scout Daniel Jeremiah is excited about the potential Waddle brings to the Broncos offense.
"(The Broncos) went out and get Jaylen Waddle; I think he's going to have a monster season with Bo Nix there," Jeremiah said in an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show last week. "It's going to be run-after-the-catch stuff underneath; they're going to be able to (hit) all those design
shot plays that Sean Payton loves to dial up; Jaylen Waddle is going to be the recipient of those."

Waddle figures to be one of Nix's favorite targets, giving life to the Denver offense in 2026. Waddle's dynamic ability can create mismatches all across the board, especially with several wide receivers on the field: Courtland Sutton's size, Pat Bryant's range, Marvin Mims' electric speed, and even RJ Harvey out of the backfield. It can create nightmares for an opposing defensive coordinator.
Waddle and Co. will get their first chance to see what they can do on the road in a Monday Night Football matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1. The game will also be a chance for the entire country to see how far the Broncos have come since January, and be a real test of Denver's belief of being a top-tier Super Bowl contender going into the year.
