Davis Webb had a night to forget in his play-calling debut.
After being promoted from quarterbacks coach to offensive coordinator this offseason, Webb made his regular-season debut against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday. It didn't go well.
The Denver Broncos' offense struggled throughout the night, and many fans pointed the blame at Webb
. Broncos quarterback Bo Nix came to the defense of his OC after the game, saying players did not execute a good plan.Following practice on Friday, Webb had his first media availability session since Week 1's debacle. Webb said the performance obviously wasn't good enough, and he wasn't proud of the result.

Webb
said there were probably five play calls that he'd like to have back, and he's eager to have a better showing this weekend.
Webb and Denver's offense will get their first opportunity to bounce back when the Broncos host the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2. If the offense doesn't get back on track quickly, it seems fair to wonder how long Webb will continue calling plays in Denver.
