Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix had his "I told you so" moment on Sunday in a 30-16 win over the Arizona Cardinals in Sunday's Week 7 matchup.
Nix has faced significant scrutiny from fans and pundits about his recovery from a broken ankle suffered in January's divisional playoff win. CBS reported during a game that Nix had suffered some stiffness and swelling after flights, and the QB didn't look quite like himself during the Broncos' brutal six-game stretch to start the season.
But on Sunday, Nix showed that he still has his mobility and his agility when he took off for a 62-yard touchdown in the second quarter of the game. Nix found open space after eluding the Cardinals' pass rush, and then put on a little spin move inside the 5-yard line,
barreling his way into the end zone. The run represented the longest quarterback run in Broncos' franchise history.
Nix was asked about his health and mobility after the win, and he had one simple message.
"You believe me now?" Nix asked, before laughing.
Question: You had told us that athletically you felt fine..

Nix has been adamant that he is suffering no ill effects from the injury that ended his 2025 season prematurely. After a surgery to repair the injury and a second clean-up procedure in the offseason, Nix often said he would be 100 percent going into 2026.
As early as mid-June, Nix has been echoing the same message, which is, in essence, "I'm fine."
"I could go full go right now if they wanted me to," Nix said at the time.
With the 62-yard run, it seemed like Nix was running away not only from the defense, but from any question that his ankle won't hold up, and that he's not OK. Nix sent a message with the run, that he's not afraid, and ready to fully test his ankle and his mobility, which has proven to be a huge asset in the Broncos' offense.
Nix now looks to reverse the fortunes he faced in Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs with a much better performance on Sunday, when the Chiefs come to Denver. As a reminder, Nix did lead a victory over their AFC West rivals last year in Denver.
Let's hope he can do it again.
