The Denver Broncos are calling up two reinforcements from the practice squad ahead of their Sunday Night Football showdown with the Los Angeles Rams in Week 3.
The Broncos elevated fullback Adam Prentice and wide receiver Kolbe Katsis from the practice squad to the game-day roster for Week 3, the team announced Saturday. Both players will revert back to the practice squad on Monday.
Additionally, Denver promoted long snapper Mitchell Fraboni from the practice squad to the 53-man roster after placing running back Jonah Coleman (ankle) on injured reserve. Coleman will be eligible to return after four games.
NFL teams are allowed to elevate up to two players from the practice squad to the game-day roster each week, and those players do not have to clear
waivers to return to the practice squad.
However, there is a limit of three elevations per player each season. Prentice has now maxed out his three elevations, and he will likely be fully promoted to the active roster next week.
