Colorado suffered a fifth Big 12 loss in Week 10, falling to Arizona State 20-10. The Buffaloes are obviously far from a spot in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll, but the Big 12 Conference once again has five teams in the poll, including the No. 2 team, the Utah Utes.
Utah looked like one of the best teams in the country, notching a top-10 win at home against bitter rival BYU. The Utes moved up two spots to No. 2 and are now 9-0. BYU fell four spots to No. 12 after the loss. Texas Tech won a wild shootout against West Virginia and moved up three spots to No. 10.
Houston, Colorado's Week 11 opponent, is up to No. 16 after beating Cincinnati at home. Arizona moves up one place to No. 21 after narrowly beating TCU on Friday night.
Oklahoma State is
the only Big 12 team in the receiving-votes category, with the Cowboys getting 27 votes after scoring 66 points against Kansas State.
Elsewhere in college football, the top 10 saw a major reshuffle after Miami's loss to Notre Dame, among other action. Georgia is the new No. 1, followed by Utah, Notre Dame, UCLA and Indiana.
South Carolina and Oregon are the two new teams in the poll, with the Gamecocks coming in at No. 24 and the Ducks moving up 12 spots to No. 19. Ohio State fell 10 spots to No. 20, the biggest drop of the week.
