Colorado begins its November schedule Saturday at Arizona State, seeking consecutive Big 12 wins after a 27-24 overtime win over Kansas State.
The Buffaloes (3-5, 1-4 Big 12) visit Mountain America Stadium for a 5:30 p.m. MST kickoff on ESPN2. Arizona State enters at 4-4 overall and 2-3 in conference play, with freshman starters at quarterback and running back.
Here are five things to know about the Sun Devils.
1. Arizona State pushed BYU into the fourth quarter
The Sun Devils were tied 17-17 entering the fourth quarter at then-No. 8 BYU before losing 27-20. An 11-play, 95-yard touchdown drive helped the Cougars pull away, leaving Arizona State 0-3 in true road games.
2. Jake Fette will make his second start
Dillingham confirmed Monday that Fette will remain the starter after completing 22 of 42 passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns without
a turnover against BYU.
Fette is Arizona State's third starting quarterback this season, following Cutter Boley and Mikey Keene. His two third-quarter touchdown passes helped erase a 17-3 halftime deficit.
3. Cardae Mack is getting a larger workload
Freshman running back Cardae Mack carried 23 times for 123 yards against BYU, giving Arizona State a productive ground option alongside Fette.
His emergence comes as the Sun Devils rank last in the Big 12 in total offense during conference play.

4. Omarion Miller returns
Former Colorado receiver Omarion Miller has 41 catches for 427 yards and three touchdowns. Boston College transfer Reed Harris leads the conference in receiving yards with 804, adding eight touchdowns on 48 receptions.
Former Colorado State linebacker Owen Long leads Arizona State in tackles and has forced two fumbles.
5. Kenny Dillingham addressed Florida State opening
Asked Monday about Florida State's coaching vacancy, Dillingham turned his answer toward Colorado.
"I'm trying to find a way to beat Colorado," he said. "This is a team that people don’t talk about enough, in my opinion."
Colorado needs three wins over its final four games to reach bowl eligibility. Saturday offers an opportunity to carry its improved rushing production into another conference game, while Harris and Miller present an immediate test for the Buffaloes' secondary.
