The Big 12 slate was relatively small in Week 4 as conference play ramped up. Six conference games were decided and two Big 12 programs played their final nonconference contest.
No surprises came in Week 4, but some teams didn't meet their own standards, starting with Texas Tech, which was locked in a one-possession game against Sam Houston State until the Red Raiders pulled away late. Colorado struggled for the second week in a row and currently looks like one of the bigger disappointments in the Big 12.
Utah, Houston, and Oklahoma State recorded blowout wins over Iowa State, Georgia Southern, and West Virginia, respectively. UCF beat TCU at home, and Cincinnati beat Kansas State. Arizona and Baylor also won in Week 4.
