Colorado has lost four consecutive games and has one of the least productive offenses in college football, yet some see a much better team under the surface.
Oklahoma State head coach Eric Morris isn't overlooking the Buffaloes ahead of Saturday's Big 12 matchup, saying Deion Sanders' squad is much better than its 2-4 (0-3 Big 12) record might suggest.
"The crazy thing about this team and watching this team, Colorado, right now is they might be the best two-win team in the nation," Morris said during his weekly press conference.
Morris highlighted Colorado's difficult schedule, noting that the teams the Buffs have lost to have a combined 21-3 record (Northwestern, Baylor, Texas Tech and Utah). While the stat underscores CU's challenging schedule, it
doesn't excuse the mistake-filled football that kept several of those losses from becoming wins.
The Buffaloes led No. 11 Utah in the second half last weekend before falling 27-24. Colorado also led Texas Tech 7-3 at halftime earlier this month before turnovers and special teams mistakes derailed the second half. Last month against Baylor, Colorado erased a 10-point deficit before more offensive struggles led to a 23-13 defeat.

Morris' team enters Saturday's matchup 4-2 (2-1 Big 12) coming off a narrow loss to Houston, where the Cowboys' defense gave up over 500 total yards. Colorado can pull off the road upset and get right against a leaky defense, but it starts with slowing down the Big 12's top offense.
