In the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Week 3 game against the New England Patriots, Colorado’s Travis Hunter got his first interception in the NFL. It came at a crucial point in the game as the Patriots were trying to score their first touchdown of the game, and Hunter picked off Patriots quarterback Drake Maye in the end zone.
Here is a look at Hunter's interception, courtesy of the Jacksonville Jaguars' social media:
Hunter was tied for the most total tackles by anyone on the Jaguars in the first half of this game. He has primarily played on defense so far this year, playing only in nine percent of the offensive snaps and 58 percent of the defensive snaps in Jacksonville's first two games.
Several Colorado fans have questioned the Jaguars' use of Hunter
after the former Heisman Trophy winner was the second overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He certainly isn't being used like a top-3 pick, but Sunday's interception against the Patriots was a small example of how big a playmaker Hunter can be on defense and offense.
