What is the story about?

The Big 12 conference has multiple teams with elite running back rooms. West Virginia may have the best running back room in the conference, and arguably one of the top in the country, with Cam Cook, who is leading the Big 12 in rushing yards, and Michael Hawkins Jr who is leading the conference in rushing touchdowns. Both backs had over 100 rushing yards in the Mountaineers' loss to Oklahoma State.

While everyone thinks about Oklahoma State's passing game, their run game cannot be underestimated either. Their top running back, Caleb Hawkins, had 180 rushing yards and a touchdown in the Cowboys' win over West Virginia.

Cincinnati also has some talented rushers. Both Gi'Bran Payne and Cole Tabb had over 100 rushing yards last week, while Tabb got

all the touchdowns with three in their win over Kansas State. Their quarterback, JC French, is also a talented rusher and remains in the top 10 in rushing touchdowns.
